What session length do you need?
30-minute sessions are optimal for clients who have a single focus area—often those who are recovering from injury or surgery. 45-minute sessions usually allow time either for two areas of focus, or a full-body “relaxation” massage. Sessions of 60 minutes or longer are typically appropriate for full-body work with one or more areas of focus, relaxation, or for detailed structural myofascial work, which is most effective when there is sufficient time to allow a client’s tissue to open (rather than attempting to force release).
** 30-minute sessions may be booked after an initial session of at least 45 minutes. This is to allow adequate time for review of the client’s health history and current status. Packages are designed for people who need to receive several sessions close together to address a specific problem, often as part of injury or surgical rehab. As such, 3-pack sessions must be used within 30 days of purchase, and single sessions cannot be gifted from a package to another client.
