We have developed and implemented ACL injury prevention programs for hundreds of athletes. We know why gymnasts develop back and elbow issues and how to prevent them. We know why the baseball player is often late getting the bat through no matter what he tries. We know how to make runners faster, more efficient and stay away from nagging injuries.
SPI's founders have used their over 30 years combined experience in the sports medicine and sports performance fields to develop the highest quality programs for thousands of athletes. We have trained and treated athletes along the continuum from being severely injured to performing at the most elite levels. Our backgrounds, expertise, and use of evidence-based research have allowed us to see how and why the human machine breaks down. We have gone on to discover, implement, and improve on the methods to Better The Machine.
Runners are no stranger to injury. Fortunately, neither are the skilled folks at the Sports Performance Institute. Following my treatment, I was competing injury-free and set a personal record for the half marathon!
The Sports Performance Institute has significantly enhanced the services we provide to our athletes at our Maryland Training Center.
Wanted to let u know things are going well with running. Had a solid performance at the Navy 5 miler yesterday with 45 minute time. Good prep for the triathlon in 2 weeks. You guys really got me back on my feet with the plantar problem and I’ve been working to apply what I learned at the running clinic and seeing the results. Just wanted to say thanks again and give ya an update.
I credit the professionals at the Sports Performance Institute for helping me significantly reduce injuries in my program over the last 9 years.
The Sports Performance Institute staff helped get me back on the soccer field at a higher level than before my injury so I could retain my scholarship.
I just wanted to thank you for your help in the spring. After 18 months of dealing with my nagging hip, it steadily got better after we met–with no relapses! I felt great all summer and ran Dreaded Druid Hills, my first race in over a year. The core work not only helped my hip, it was a huge help for my pace, too! I ran a 7 minute PR at the Baltimore Half, which is exciting by itself, but to not have any pain afterwards made it even better! So thank you!
